Movie Review (10 points-Due on Monday, February 8, 2016)
You will write at least three paragraphs about the movie that you have selected to include as one of your media sources about your chosen profession for your final paper. You will later condense this movie review to incorporate it into your paper.
First, you will need to view your movie. You will then write 3 paragraphs as follows:
Paragraph 1 – Include a description of your movie using interesting vocabulary. Be creative like the movie critics in the newspapers!
Paragraph 2 – Describe the character (or characters) that portray your profession in the movie. Be sure to include your thoughts about the positive and/or negative aspects portrayed in this film as it relates to your perceptions of your chosen career.
Paragraph 3 – Include any other important and relevant information including your rating of the film and why.
Movie PowerPoint (10 points – Due and Presented on Thursday, February 11, 2016)
You will create at least a 5 slide PowerPoint to share with the class on Thursday, February 11, or Monday, February 15, 2016. Each presentation should be approximately 10 minutes long. You will sign up for your date to present but ALL PowerPoints are due by 9:30 AM on Thursday, February 11, on Blackboard.
You should incorporate the key points from your written movie review (using phrases and/or pictures – not the written paragraphs). You should also include a brief appropriate video clip from your movie to show the class if possible. Please make your PowerPoint entertaining and engaging so that we can learn about your future profession through your chosen movie.
These assignments must be your own original work. If you choose to use any thoughts from other critics, you MUST cite your sources.
