    discussion 1

Personal branding is the means by which we advertise ourselves to others. It’s an ageless idea. The two reasons why personal branding has dependably existed on a person’s level is that we generally need to offer ourselves in different circumstances, from attempting to awe our directors with the goal that we can go up against greater activities, to persuading our companion to read a book. Additionally, we’re continually being judged taking into account initial introductions, the greater part of which happen online with a basic Google look. From the garments you wear, to how you carry on and interface with other individuals, to your non-verbal communication, everything is attached to your personal branding.

The goal of my personal branding is to create an image of me as a good and responsible student. To complete this goal, I choose my two qualities. I think that the important quality for a student for one’s personal branding is active participation in different activities during the student’s life. So I try to demonstrate that I am not a stranger to the variety of social and volunteer initiatives and to share this information with many people. At last, no measure of association, time administration, investment or coarseness will matter one piece in the event that you don’t practice the self-restraint to actualize these systems. As a student, I must be committed and self-trained to achieve my aims. I essentially need to make myself do things that may not easily fall into place—and frequently it won’t be enjoyable. Finding a way to be a fruitful student most likely won’t come simple at to start with, yet in the event that I bring diverse techniques into my scholarly life without rushing too much, and I am well on my approach to turning into an effective student!

    discussion 2

All students, similarly to most other professionals, must abide by a code of ethics. Examples of such behaviors are described in the book Ethical Dimensions, by Doherty & Purtilo. They describe a fictional experiment to help determine behaviors that would break the code of ethics. Five friends are gathered in this experiment, and faced with a difficult exam. The experiment provides several situations which may or may not break the code, and it is then up to the student to decide. The moral of the experiment is that the student has to have very similar responsibilities to work professionals: integrity, good work habits and respect for those around you and for yourself. As Doherty states, “Your understanding of self respect as a wellspring that nourishes your professional obligation to respect others will result in your recognition that a lack of self respect will undermine your ability to enjoy deep job satisfaction.” (Doherty, 7.2, 137).

I consider that my brand at this moment is personal, not professional. I use social media for the sole purpose of communicating with relatives from my home country of Romania, which means it is of a rather unprofessional nature. I do, however, have qualities that could be carried over to a professional brand: integrity and good work habits. I would demonstrate integrity by consistently doing a good job, giving credit where it was due, and admitting to when I make mistakes. Good work habits would be easily demonstrated through my day to day routine and approach of the job.
