Aggregate Community Windshield Survey
There are two parts to the windshield survey assignment. In Week 1 you are required to submit a draft of your survey. In Week 2 you will submit your final windshield survey based on feedback from your instructor and your continued work.
In a Microsoft Word document of 3-4 pages formatted in APA style, you will describe the aggregate and community in which the aggregate is located. Please note that the title and reference pages should not be included in the total page count of your paper.

Begin the assignment by describing your aggregate. Include the following information:

Geographical location and size
Population
A brief history
Basic vital statistics

When looking at race from a social science and sociologically perspective, it can be challenging, primarily because it requires an unlearning and re learning of multiple concepts and basic ideologies that we all adhere to in society. This film follows the social science narrative that is becoming more and more popular and being accepted as a way of redefining race, i.e. the idea that race is a social construction.
I encourage you to watch the film in its entirety and take notes. The concept captured in the film of race being a social construction will be tested on your final exam.
So how do we define race and is the way we define race problematic? The film will address these questions.
Create a memory matrix for Italy by listing two-three complete sentences for each of the eight factors and using the format in Table 3.1, which is on page 34 of Lovett-Scott and Prather (2014). The United States is used in the example. The authors chose to use words and short phrases as memory joggers. In this assignment, you are required to use complete sentences with correct grammar and punctuation. If you use information from any resource other than your textbook, you will need to provide citations and references in correct APA format. If you use your textbook, you do not need to provide citations or a reference. Your grade will be based on the accuracy and completeness of your sentences as related to each factor.
