This is an individual presentation.  The purpose of this presentation is to explore how the “typical” family has changed over time.  Additionally, causes of the various changes are to be explored as well.  The presentation should consist of seven slides as described below:

  • Slide 1: A narrative discussing how the family has changed over time?  Explicitly note what changes have occurred.
  • Slide 2: Visual depictions of what the “typical” family used to look like.  You are welcomed to use a range of media resources.
  • Slide 3: Visual depictions of what the “typical” family looks like now.  (i.e., how do you perceive or define the typical family, how does society perceive or define the typical family, etc.)  You are welcomed to use a range of media resources.
  • Slide 4: A narrative discussing and analyzing the individual factors that have contributed to the changing family. (See your textbook.  You may use external resources as well.)

Reflect: Reflect back on the Week 1 discussion in which you shared with the class the global societal issue that you would like to further address. Explore critical insights that were shared by your peers and/or your instructor on the topic chosen and begin your search for scholarly sources with those insights in mind.

Write: For this assignment, review the Annotated Bibliography Formatting Guidelines and address the following prompts:

· Introductory paragraph to topic (refer to the Final Paper guidelines for your topic selection).

o Write an introductory paragraph with at least 150 words that clearly explains the topic, the importance of further research, and ethical implications.

· Thesis statement.

o Write a direct and concise thesis statement, which will become the solution to the problem that you will argue or prove in the Week 5 Final Paper. (A thesis statement should be a concise, declarative statement. The thesis statement must appear at the end of the introductory paragraph.)

· Annotated bibliography.

o Develop an annotated bibliography to indicate the quality of the sources you have read.

o Summarize in your own words how the source contributes to the solution of the global societal issue for each annotation.

o Address fully the purpose, content, evidence, and relation to other sources you found on this topic (your annotation should be one to two paragraphs long—150 words or more.

o Include no less than five scholarly sources in the annotated bibliography that will be used to support the major points of the Final Paper.

o Demonstrate critical thinking skills by accurately interpreting evidence used to support various positions of the topic.

The Introduction, Thesis Statement, and Annotated Bibliography

This client is a 15-year-old Caucasian female with a history of depression, and anxiety sometimes gets panic attacks, and she gets nervous a lot.

The usage of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) was applied. The Kutcher generalized anxiety disorder scale for adolescents (K-GADAS-A) tool was given to

her, and she scores on discomfort anxiety distress and avoidance at a severe level (Teenmentalhealth.org,2020). She was also given the 3-minute depression

test related to life experiences, which are common questions of symptoms of people who are usually diagnosed with depression (Psycom.net,2020). She was

given homework to keep a journal of her anxiety or panic attacks. She has a hard time coping at home and school. Clients who need coping skills enhancement

and internal resources can receive the treatment of choice, which is CBT (Wheeler, 2014). The behavioral technique deep breathing exercises were shared with

her in order for her to reduce autonomic nervous system responses (Wheeler, 2014). The treatment of psychotherapy is collaborative in which the clinicians

and patients negotiate ways that can be helpful with an agreement that would most likely get to positive outcomes(Nagy, 2011). It. She is not improving

or is adequately progressing to what treatment goals were expected for her to achieve. She stated that she has had more panic attacks at home but does not

know why and has been getting anxious more than usual despite the deep breathing exercise, and had not been consistent with her homework, especially

when she gets anxious.

Developing employees is different than training employees, though human resource functions often tend to group these activities together. Training and development are not always mutually exclusive, though they do have a different focus. Though training programs tend to be focused on improving employee performance in a current job, they may also be preparing employees for future assignments/jobs. In your own words, describe and provide at least one example of each of the following:

A) Imagine that you are preparing for your first performance feedback session with your employee.
